On the balance of the trip to San Francisco we got off I-5 to I-505 northwest of Woodland until we got onto I-80 at Vacaville. We stayed there all the way to the East Bay thru Berkley into Oakland and caught the Bay Bridge to get us into San Francisco. Right after we got across the bridge we got the exit to take us to 24 Willie Mays Plaza, home of AT&T Ballpark and the San Francisco Giants. We hooked up with Corey near the ticket area and got our tickets to get into the park. Spending time with Corey was a lot of fun and I could finally put a face to a name. We’ve made plans to get together at the end of the trip when we are in Oakland watching the A’s. Once we got into the park and got our hats we decided it was time for food. We’re in San Francisco and one of my favorite all time Giant players is Willie McCovey so it seemed appropriate to eat at McCovey’s 44 BBQ out in center field. I’m sure there will be plenty of BBQ oods eaten in this trip and this is a good start. We are now at the Omni San Francisco Hotel, close to AT&T Ballpark after a long day, getting some rest before tomorrow’s trip down to Dodgers Stadium. More to follow…
